Who are they ?

It is believed that the Dragondins originally came from a planet four times as massive as Jupiter that orbits three stars, far far away between Ursa Major (The Great Bear) and Draco (Dragon) constellations.

After 75 cycles of near extinction of their civilizations due to the instability of their tri-solar system, something happened in the 76th cycle : the 3 stars were perfectly aligned for life to multiply and thrive in their home planet.

The living environment suddenly became suitable to a balance never before encountered. The weather was at a perfect temperature. They were no predators. The food and water access were limitless. The layout of the living spaces was optimal.
This paradise becoming reality was named Utopia 76, in honor of their ancestors.

As all the needs were now met, those nutrias lookalike had a lot of free time in their tiny hands. They, of course, used this time that would usually be wasted in foraging for food and shelter for having excessive amounts of sexual intercourse. The population exponentially and rapidly grew and after few perfect tri-days, picked and declined.

A lot of them weren't interested in breeding anymore and retired in their home. Others formed in violent gangs and regularly attacked and cannibalized other groups as well as their own.
The low birth rate and high infant mortality combined with the violence soon caused another near extinction of the society, despite the same availability of all the needs.

But as the apocalypse were happening, a new breeding group, to whom evolution gave wings, survived, took to the skies and decided to build a spaceship in the hope of fulfilling the prophecy and discovering a new planet, more welcoming for future generations.

Those 7777 who survived this long journey, now calling themselves the Dragondins, are now sure to have been arrived in the promised world, Utopia 77, also known as :
